Vintage Substantial Statement Necklace made for Chanel by the Artisans of Maison Gripoix. 

Multiple twisted strands of jewel toned (emerald, ruby & sapphire) pate de verre beads terminate on either end with Chanel's often used design motif of gripoix cupped petals.

The pate de verre has a slightly opaque deep rich appearance that allows this beautiful necklace to be colorful but not flashy (please note: colors were difficult to capture in photographs despite being taken in different lighting conditions).

Decorative gold plate box clasp adorned with a large emerald green gripoix cabochon.

It is possible that this clasp is an older replacement (see below for more details) .


On Attribution / Authentication:

Besides having some of Chanel's distinctive and/or often used design elements (i.e,  cupped gripoix petals, pate de verre,  jewel like colors, gold plate finish, etc.), the almost identical necklace (see below for differences) is at the time of this listing submission being sold
